but, I was surprised that this phrase appeared in one Korean history drama - Yoin-cheonhwa ("Women's reign" or something)

When you genuinely determined to sacrifice yourself without expecting any benefit, then something unexpected (like a miracle in a sense) happens such as some change takes place in people's mind and heart, which results in the dramatic change of the situation into a "good" direction. (seems God intervened)

This must be the universal truth
