Sometimes somebody may trick you. That's usually not easy and you may be tempted to react. However, do not immediately react and try to trick back. That might hurt you more.
Treat that person as an agent from God. That might be the right thing to do, and that might be a God-given chance for Him to claim you as his own. (as well as making a first step to help that person as your brother)
Anyway, as long as you see your life as a drama, and you as the hero of the drama, that might be what you would want to do... and your audience is God.
